Weekly Press Briefing on Coronavirus Disease Outbreak in Africa
INVITATION TO REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MEDIA
OVERVIEW: This briefing is a weekly engagement of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) with the media to share critical updates on the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic in Africa and the status of implementing the adapted Africa Joint Continental Strategy for COVID-19 Outbreak, including Africa CDC’s response activities and the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines in AU Member States.
Thursday’s briefing will highlight the regular update of the COVID-19 and vaccine delivery situations, as well as emerging changes in some regions, and other key aspects of the pandemic as Member States gradually shift their public health and safety measures to cope with post pandemic times.
