Kampala, Uganda – June 1, 2017: African Union (AU) Member States have been urged to enhance mutual accountability for results and impact towards CAADP and the AU 2014 Malabo Declaration on Africa Accelerated Agricultural Growth and Transformation (3AGT).
The call was made at the 13th Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) Partnership Platform themed, ‘Strengthening Mutual Accountability to Achieve CAADP/Malabo Goals and Targets.’

The country targets to increase agricultural exports to US$4 billion and halve the labour force engaged in subsistence production from 6 to 3 million

Kampala, February 27, 2017 - Senior Ugandan Government officials on 27 February 2017 joined a team of private sector and development partners’ representatives for an intensive two-day meeting to develop a strategy to attract and increase investments in the country’s agricultural sector.

CONTINENTAL EXPERTS CONSULTATIVE DIALOGUE: APPLYING A GENDER LENS TO THE DRAFT AFRICAN UNION TRANSITIONAL JUSTICE POLICY (AUTJP) Kampala, Uganda, 12 December 2016: The Department of Political Affairs (DPA) of the African Union Commission (AUC) with technical support from the Centre for the Study of Violence and reconciliation (CSVR) commenced a two-day consultative dialogue for gender experts to consider the draft AU Transitional Justice Policy (AUTJP) and ensure that gender is mainstreamed throughout the draft policy.
