The Department of Trade and Industry of the African Union Commission (AUC) organized in partnership with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), the 11th African Union Sub-Committee of Directors General of Customs Meeting from 16-20 September 2019 in Kampala, Uganda under the theme: “Entry into force of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) - Implications for African Customs administrations”.

The aim of the Validation Workshop of Draft Evaluation Report of the 2006 Ouagadougou Plan of Action on the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons in Africa, especially on Women and Children is to provide further input to the draft report and finally provide a go ahead to implement the recommendations of the report to address existing policy and operational gaps in the prevention of the irregular migration in the continent.

Final Validation workshop on the EAC Regional Cross-border Interconnection Regulations in Kampala, Uganda.
African Union Commission (AUC) through the Africa Internet Exchange System Project organized a workshop in collaboration with East Africa Community (EAC) in Kampala, Uganda to validate the draft EAC Regional cross-border Interconnection regulations. The workshop was facilitated by Nathan Associates who contracted from AUC to develop EAC Regional cross-border Interconnection Regulations. Representatives from EAC Member States and Telecom Operators were participated in the workshop.
